Have you watched "Super- Size Me"??

Question: if you havn't it's about a man who is in really good health that desides to eat McDonalds for a month in order to get McDonalds in trouble for selling bad food.

isn't it sick what we're all eating? i really think that there should be more choices for people my age (teens) to eat at that isn't expensive!!!

and that clip about the cafeteria when the kids are eating HORRIBLE food--- THAT SHOULD BE CHANGED!!! PEOPLE'S TAXES GO INTO THAT FOOD, WHEN ALL IT'S DOING IS KILLING US!!!
Answers: Yes, I did. Scary, scary, scary, SCARY! I never was much for fast-food, but after that documentary, I avoid it even more. That man actually got VERY sick from just 30 days of nothing but fast food, breakfast, lunch, and dinner. He started out in perfect health, but gained something like 40 lbs, his blood pressure skyrocketed, his cholesterol was out of sight, he was developing pre-diabetes, shortness of breath, and irregular heartbeat. He couldn't sleep right, his thinking was fuzzy, and he was getting depressed. He was also addicted - he could not believe the powerful urge to get more Big Macs every day, even though he was feeling sick and lethargic - and even more disturbing was that he would start to feel better once he started eating another one! Like a drug!

This so-called Fast Food Nation is terrifying me, and I'm glad my kids don't care for fast-food besides the occasional (once a month or so) pizza night.
No I have not watched it. I heard about it and I did not want to see it because I did not feel like being sick.

I am generally a healthy person. I might eat McDonald's or any fast food once a month. I find it cheaper and more filling to eat at home.
You are totally right. I didn't see the movie but it even had my right wing friend up in arms (you know how right wingers are, invisible hand and laissez faire and all of that). You're smart to be concerned about what you eat, a lot of people of all ages are just kind of sucked (by marketing and just the sheer prevalance of crappy food) into a lack of discipline. Good for you.
Yeah some foods are expensive, which is good for you and then the food that is cheap isn't good for you. But not all kids eat back at school i eat a bowl of grapes or veggis and a strawberry powerade
yes i have seen it..its a good movie, its a good lesson learnt while watching it
It was funny and disturbing. I recommend it even though it is not the best documentary I have seen.
No i heard it was dumb
yea its pretty bad but it tates so freakin good
You missed the key lessons:

1. McD's IS NOT THE BAD GUY here, they just represent the fast food industry.

2. Fast food IS NOT the same as the equivilent home-made or restaraunt item- much more processed, lots more grease/fat/sugar/salt/chemicals.

3. There is a consequence to our food choices. Choose wisely.

4. Americans do not move around enough- part of his problem is that he only took a certain number of steps every day- the amount the average American takes- WAY too little exercise to begin to burn off the calories from the junk food.

I don't like McD's- did not like it before the show- but he was not trying to specifically pick on them- the lessons apply across the fast food world.
Yeah. I stopped eating fast food for awhile because of it. Now when I eat it, it makes me think. There is no nutritional value in it. I was especially sickened by the french fry experiement.
It was pretty nasty... but MickeyD's isn't life threatening if you only have it once life every 6 months!
I agree with you but the glory of the United States Of America is that we are blessed with ability to control our own lives. There are plenty of supermarkes and health food stores out there where you can get quality food for reasonable prices. Yes you may not do the purchasing maybe mom or dad does but as a teen you are possitioned well to be a pain in the azzz and get away with it to an extent. So start riding your parents to begin buying the healthy stuff and to not forget to buy you a lunch boxs of sorts.

Just a few links you may or may not be interested in.
yea, it was crazy!
