Is being a vegetarian hard? Only answer this if you ARE one.??
Question: I am turning into a vegetarian because I didn't know this, but meat is muscle. That grossed me out. I am turning into a vegetarian, no meat, no chhicken, no poultry, no fish. Will that be hard?
Answers: hello, i am a vegetarian and the one thing i can tell you is DISCIPLINE! you really need to have that especially in the beginning when you will be experiencing foods that you have not had before or have had but did not like the taste...fruits and vegetables, olive oil, red wine, whole grain breads, dark chocolate and fish are some of the main foods of being a vegetarian. please do not have red meat ofcourse of any kind, however you can have chicken..try to buy organic as much as possible as with these foods they do not put pesticides on them and when you buy red wine, buy organically too, there are many liquor stores now that carry organic wines, they are a little more expensive but its worth it cause there are no added sulfites added. sulfites is the chemical that can cause headaches after drinking even a little red wine. have wild salmon only, not farmed! farmed salmon has too much mercury and you could be allergic to it. red onions and garlic is extremely important when being a vegetarian....being a vegetarian is alot easier than being a vegan because at least you can have dairy...try to buy organic, it is worth it..good luck...
NOWAY IT'S EASY

No, it won't be hard. I did it when I was 6 and I was the only vegetarian in my house!
These days, they make meat substitutes for just about everything--sausage, burgers, chicken strips, bacon, cold cuts, ground beef, pepperoni, & more---and they all taste really good!
If you're just starting, you may want to consider ordering this FREE vegetarian starter kit from PETA. I ordered it a while ago. It comes with some easy recipes as well as some advice on how to make the transition. There's a link to it on this site: http://www.goveg.com

well, i am a vegetarian, but i still eat fish and seafood...
i don't find it too hard.. initially i forgot that i was trying to go vegetarian and i ate meat haha, but that only happened twice and then it is just habit and you don't miss it too much.. i haven't eaten meat in almost 2 years.. which i guess isn't a lot but i've only craved meat a few times.. you get used to not eating it...
if you think it will be hard all at once maybe you could ease your way into it.. cut out red meat, then chicken, then fish.. etc? just an idea
good luck
I've been a vegetarian for 5 years now. i love it. i love animals SOO much! and yes... you are eating another living creatures mussel.. PLUS hormones... it also causes blood clots and heart attacks in the long run. you are also at much higher risk of heart disease and colon cancer if you eat meat. and humans dont really even need it! just make sure you take vitamins and eat proteins... peanut butter, beans, soy beans... also... dairy is just as bad.. its loaded with animal fat and hormones!! check out ... goveg.com
TRUST ME, IT'S NOT HARD AND ITS THE BEST THING YOU CAN DO FOR YOURSELF AND FOR THE ANIMALS!!! =D
