How do i raise my metabolism??
Answers: All of these are good answers, but not entirely correct. Exercise is a GREAT way to raise the metabolism, but not the only way. Your body is a machine, think of it that way. Would a machine be considered more efficient if it produced a large amount only three times a day, or smaller amounts 7 times a day? Obviously the latter of the two. The more you work your metabolism, the faster it will get.
If you only eat 3 large meals per day, you are actually keeping your metabolism at the same rate. You are requiring it to process large quantities of food at a less frequent period throughout your day.
Now look at it this way, if you were to eat 6 or 7 smaller meals throughout the day, you'd be requiring your body to break down smaller amounts more often, thus speeding up your metabolism. You'll notice that you don't feel sluggish anymore after eating, you will have more energy throughout the day, and notice that you WILL start losing weight. Just like a muscle, it's the same theory. If you lift heavy weight a few times a day, you'll get bulk. If you lift lighter weight more times a day, you will get tone. I've been doing this my whole life, and I have never been overweight, and always have a clean bill of health when I go to the doctor.
Exercise. It's the only tried and true way to raise your metabolism.
exercise and a healthy diet will help, and there are some foods that naturally increase your metabolism like strawberries, or hot sauces with cayenne pepper.
i don't have my list with me right now, but i do have some others.
The best way to increase your at rest metatbolic rate is to increase you lean muscle mass..., muscle burns more calories than fat cells...
So weight training is the best way..., combined that with a cardio workout..., that would be the best..., a cup of coffee won't hurt either...
