Question: I have been hitting the gym doing tae bo around 4 times a week. Do the bike for around 30 mnts five times a week. Eat very less food by why is that my weight will not go down. I have been in the gym and the bike 16 days already and so is my diet. I still weigh the same... IS this normal? What can i do to bring down my weight? I am a size 12 currently and would like to be a 10, is there a chance? I am 28 years old, female 5'5 in height.

Thank you
Answers: There is cutting back on food, and then there is depriving your body of much needed nutrients.
It sounds like you are doing the first.
This is very dangerous and will lead to an injury.

You should cut your calories only by a few hundred below your maintenance level. Your maintenance level is your body weight multiplied by the number 12. example: 200lbs would be 200 x 12= 2400 calories for maintenance. Now subtract a good 500-1000 calories from this number. By doing this and eating a good mix of Protein Carbs and fat you will lose 1-3 lbs a week.
Believe it or not, you may not be eating enough! Food is energy for your body. You need energy to burn calories. Seems like you're excersizing a lot... I know it sounds wrong, but it's real.
You have to EAT to lose weight!! Exercise is a good thing as well, but you do have to eat - all be it healthy foods.

Also, if you are exercising MORE than you have in the past your body is going to hold onto fluid to protect your muscles for up to 6-8 weeks. You will see inches lost more than likely before weight loss.

Check into the food guide for your country, and you will get the proper guidelines for the foods you should be eating.
Are you losing inches though? Since you are doing so much exercising...you could be increasing your muscle mass...and muscle weighs more than fat.
Might be everyone is right about not eating enough. But have you had your thyroid checked? Don't forget also that exercise puts on muscle weight.
