How can i resist junk food when it is lying all around the house??


Question: I am trying to eat healthy to lose weight but all my family members (4 of them) love junk food and eat it all around the house, so i get really tempted and end up stuffing myself, too, coz it looks so good!! Talking to them about eating only in the kitchen or reducing amount of junk in our house didnt work. Any ideas on how to resist junk when its lying right under ur nose?
Answers: When they are pigging out-go for a walk, exercise, or do something good for yourself-QUICK..then you'll feel really great that you didn't give in. Eventually, you'll just ignore them and do your own thing. Put a picture of yourself on the fridge or junk cupboard if you feel you need to loose weight. Take a good look and remember what you are trying to accomplish-FOR YOU-and stick to it. You are strong and you deserve to feel great about yourself..Good Luck..

Try not buying it so much.
Instead of buying junk snack foods buy nutritious foods such as fruit, etc.

Willpower my dear. Decide in your mind before you eat it if yout health is as important than the junk food. Not easy to do but the results are sooo worth it.
buy yourself some good food and throw away the junk food. the junk food will just start killing of your family, so you'll be doing them a favor
deposit your money in bank, so you can get rid of this bad habbit and save money as well.
have healthy alternatives in the house that you enjoy. I love fruit, so instead of going for the Little Debbie's I go for an orange or a kiwi or even strawberries. Tell the junk-a-holics to leave your stuff alone so you will have something to snack on.
Don't buy ANY. People are less likely to eat poorly if the easy-bad-for-you fix is out of the picture. Just make sure there's something to munch on that you like and that you feel good about... carrot sticks with low fat ranch? Celery with a little peanut butter? Apples and cheese? All of these are okay as long as the ranch/peanut butter/cheese parts are just accessories and not huge portions of the equation. Make sure it's crunchy and that might satisfy what you're missing in the chips.
So hard,i live buy myself and can't lose weight and i eat healthy most of the time . just keep saying no don't give in then you can show you family that you are the best.
Stop buying it for them if you're the mom.

When you see it lying around, pour salt or sugar or dirt from a plant on it so it's not edible.

Chew gum all the time when you're home.

Drink a lot of water so you aren't hungry.

Brush your teeth a lot. Food tastes gross when mixed with toothpaste flavor.

Take your favorite junk food and put it in a blender. Look at how gross it is. When you're tempted to eat it, remember the mess in the blender. This works GREAT with potato chips.
