also, i dont really look that fat, but it is evident with my shirt off.
and four days a week i am exercising after school, three days a week weight training and one day, baseball practice.
in the past six months i think i have gained about thirty pounds or so, mostly in small jumps

im only sixteen years old, were is my metabolism
Answers: Exercise is not everything... although it is important. what you eat is important as well. You don't need to eat less, you need to eat more of what is good for you. At least four servings a fruit a day, if you are eating three right now, you are doing good but up it up a little. Meat is not so important, there is more protein in some vegetables then some meats. Burger King, McDonald's, DairyQueen, In and Out, Jack in the Box, ect. will, if you order certain things, contribute to your weight. Yeah, yeah, you didnt want to hear that but research it on the net, you will find more help.
its not that bad, dont worry just eat healthier and exercise
No you are not you are only very slightly overweight, just cut some fats and carbs from your diet and continue the excersize and don't forget to take vitamins they are important in getting your body to function the way it should .
Stop drinking soda. Do that one thing and I promise you will lose weight, and a lot of it. Fast. Try it.
Unhealthy??????

Hon, if you were between 35 and 65 you still wouldn't be unhealthy at that height and weight. If you continue to gain weight after teenage years, then start worrying.

Eat healthy.

Cut junk food and fast food.

Exercise.

And you'll keep your heart and arteries (and veins) healthy.

PS Don't forget there is an 'h' in where.
Your weight doesn't sound that high for an active 6 foot person, but if you can tell you've gained weight with your shirt off, it's time to do something about it now before it gets out of hand. You are obviously getting enough exercise, so what has changed must be your eating habits. Try just cutting down on fried, greasy, sugar loaded foods and increasing vegetables, some fruit, lean protein, whole grains, low or no fat dairy and increase your water.
Sounds like you are exercising enough, but you need to increase your heart rate for cardiovascular fitness. Are you diabetic? Have Thyroid problems? What are you eating? I'm sure you know what healthy food is, but if you are an impulse eater, don't eat 3-4 times a day at regular times, or are stress eating, all of this can lead to weight gain. Are you depressed? Seeing a doctor to get a physical and basic blood work done will give you answers. Also some medications can cause weight gain, like prednisone (for severe asthmatics,or autoimmune diseases) or antidepressants. Best bet...talk to your doctor
200 lbs isn't terrible for someone who is 6 ft tall... that is if you're all or mostly muscle. . However you're gaining about 2 1/2 lbs a week. That means you're consuming an extra 8500 calories a week. Be more conscientious of what you eat and keep up the good work with the exercise
It's great that you are exercising a lot, but sometimes that isn't enough (but keep with it!). Eat everything in moderation. Don't be a slave to looking at food labels. Just eat a healthy quantity of everything. Don't eat too many sweets, but also dont eat too much salad, etc. Make sure yout diet is varied so you are getting proper nutrician. And your metabolism varies. Some people's metabolisms slow down at 16, but i know people who have had fast metabolisms till the late 20's. If you notice that you are gaining weight recently yours may be slowing down, and that is why a healthy diet is so important. Make sure not to fall into the traps of fad diets. The weight is droped fast, but it will NOT stay off!!!!! Good luck with everything!
What's your diet like? For your height and the amount of exercise you do, it sounds like alot of your weight may be muscle. A healthy diet is a good mix of proteins (oily fish, lean meat i.e chicken and steak, not too many burgers!, eggs and milk), carbohydrates, i.e. rice and pasta, five portions of fruit or veg a day and fibre (fibre rich foods include beans, jacket potatoes and wholemeal bread). Watch your salt intake and avoid processed white foods and sugars. If you're piling on the pounds though, go see your family doctor and discuss your concerns with them and they can help you devise a healthy eating plan for your personal criteria. You're still growing so be happy and be healthy!
at your age you are still growing. so if you seem to have a bit of excess weight and it is nicely proportionate there's little to worry about. sometimes it's handy to have a bit of weight to weather any unexpected illness or accident.

if you feel the need to slim down then you could add swimming to your exercise regimen. together with workouts swimming would help to create a body that is usually to die for .
