Is it better to eat no breakfast or something 'non healthy' like a donut? What is the science behind it??


Answers: Eating within an hour of waking up speads up your metabolism and gives you more energy for the day. It is better to eat something healthy but you are suppose to eat something.
I've always been told that you have to eat something for breakfast. Preferably some kind of protein.
Better to eat the donut. If you are running on empty, the fat calories will be converted to energy and not stored. However, you still have the cholesterol, so better to eat healthy the remainder of the day.
If you do not eat breakfast, your body is not energized, and therefore, it will not burn off the calories you take in as quickly. But if you eat breakfast, your metabolism will be so pumped up, you will actually burn off more calories than you take in.
I can't quote you the science, but I disagree that eating something bad is better than nothing. Yes, eating something will speed up your metabolism as a natural consequence, but it doesn't necessarily make you feel better. If you don't eat breakfast, you may need to eat lunch earlier, but there are a lot of immediate and long-lasting problems with eating bad food.
i am no expert.. but one concept is.. something in the morning jump starts your metabolism which is good.. donut is probably high in calories.. but sugar.. is energy.. so meet science halfway and half something for breakfast.. but with a little less sugar.. like two pieces of toast.. or a bran muffin.. or a bowl of special k. or another concept says it half of what you usually eat.. and you will lose. so eat breakfast and a half donut. there we go.. we got it
You should always eat breakfast. It speeds up your metabolism in the morning so that you start burning right away. Now you know it would be better to have something healthy for breakfast but if you can't..eat the donut. I've read that its better to overeat in the morning because your metabolism is higher then later in the day. So have a box of Krispy Kremes..just make sure you don't overeat the rest of the day.
you should always have something like cereal, yogurt, a glass of Milk or Orange Juice for breakfast. A healthy breakfast helps give you energy, though our bodies can only absorb as much calcium it needs.

breakfast is the most important meal in a day becoz u are going to use a lot of energy so u will need by eating in the morning (when u slept u didn't eat, duh)
then u recharge a bit by lunch and then dinner (which u shouldn't eat a lot unless u want to get fat, since u wont be burning them when u sleep)
i am strongly suggesting you that don't try to miss breakfast at any cost, because the energy which you need to works in the whole day will be provided from the things which you eat in the morning. But try to avoid food which has got high fat content since fats can be led you into a sleepy mood, tiredness etc.Better you may have protein as well as carbohydrate rich foods along with some fresh fruit juices like orange, apple etc.
Eat protein for breakfast, a hard boiled egg or something. Sugar will make you crash & burn.
Your body wants something in the morning to give it a kinda kick start.
But, having a doughnut will give you a sugar high which your body will quickly over-suppress with insulin. This would probably give you a sugar low until your body compensates again for it and could make you feel worse than if you'd eaten nothing.

Of course all this doesn't apply if you've woken up with a hangover in which case last nights cold pizza from under the sofa is always a sure-fire remedy.
bad nutrition is better than no nutrition at all. Your body is like an engine. if it has no gas, it simply won't work, if it has the wrong gas, it will work, badly and slowly but it will eventually get you where you are going.
change that donut to a fruit-filled whole grain muffin, and you actually have good food, and it generally tastes better too.

i would think it would be better not to eat anytihng
it is better to eat a donut because its better to have something in your stomach that will have your energy going till your ready to eat lunch. never go some where on an emty stomach
