Good quality contact lens[for indian residents]??
Question: can any body suggest me a good optician in india preferably bangalore or mangalore wher i can get good quality contact lens?imm planning to replace my spectacles with contact lens when i go to india this july.i wud also like to know the difficulties faced on owning contact lens like cleaning etc.

Answers: If you have decided to buy from India, any good ophthalmologist in Bangalore should be able to check your eyes & give you a number for lenses. You could ask for Bausch and Lomb soft contact lenses. They usually suit most people but you might wanna ask your doc which ones are best for you. They usually order for you and give you one for trial for a week or so.
However, I would really recommend that you get your check ups done and buy your lenses where you are gonna live because you may need to go back and forth to your doc in case the lenses are not fitting properly.
Also FYI, avoid using Bausch and Lomb's cleaning solutions for a while as there was recent news about some possible contamination that caused blindness in some people in USA.
As far as difficulties in wearing contact lenses, it depends how good your lenses are. You really need to be hygienic with those--nothing to sweat about, just follow the directions from your doc. You may consider buying sunglasses for times when you wearing lenses in windy situations.
