Absent Minded snacker seeks help!!!??

Question: Hi all! I am trying to loose 20 pounds my July and I do just fine excercizing, I do 45 minutes of cardio a day at least and weights every other day however...I just can't seem to keep my hands out of the cookie jar!!!!! *Or cracker box, or chip bag, whatever the goodies laying around...baking chocolate has crossed my mind* I am a nursing mom so Icannot take any pills...do any of you have a suggestion to help me curb my need to graze?? It really seems like my left hand dosen't know what my right hand is doing, but my bum and thighs tell me later. Thanks!!!
Answers: The solution seems rather simple. Don't buy junk foods when you're at the grocery store. That way, you only have to avoid the temptation once, and you would have to actively seek the snacks. Instead of cookies, buy some fruit. Instead of chips, buy some carrots or something.

You can keep yourself full by drinking water too.
Don't buy them, or keep the in your house. Find other healthy snacks, like fruits and veggies that you really like. Experiment with new foods that are low in fat and calories.
Good luck. =)
i have the exact same problem i just have to keep all snack foods out of the house completely.
Get rid of the stuff! Get it out of the house! You can't eat it if you don't have it.
change your inhouse snacks to celery, baby carrots light crackers..if it's not in the house u won't grab it....if u have kids, they will benefit from not having all that sugar around too
well i had to get the junk food out of the house. Then fill it with veggies and fruit for snacks that way the junk is not an option. That is how i lost the weight after my last kid
GET RID OF ALL YOUR JUNK FOOD. Punish yourself severely for eating junk food (e.g. burn a 20 dollar bill or donate it to charity each time you eat junk food). Reward yourself at the end of each week with a little bit of junk food, like ONE chocolate bar. This is just a self-control issue. If you don't control yourself, it's your fault, and no one else deserves the blame. Eat healthy and continue exercising.
buy a lot of fruit and put it where you see it at all times. if you crave the cookies eat two apples. not room for cookies after that. snack on a pear or a banana. to fill you up. home grow your own tomatoes. that is the best in the diet world. and it helps to combat heart problems
try drinking more water,or a v-8 juice and it sounds like your board. Out of habbit we snack its noe a good habbit.
Hey, Good luck I know you can drop the pounds.
