How much responsibility the fast food industry has for the obesity epidemic in the US??

Answers: None, nada zilch. They aren't force feeding those fatty burgers down anyone's throat.

Same goes for cigarette manufacturers.. how is it their fault that people are dying of cancer again?

Overweight people need to take responsibility for themselves and stop blaming someone else for their fat aszes.
NONE!! NONE!! NONE!!

It's been a widely known (and available) fact that fast food is bad for you for a long time. People choose what they eat and they are responsible for their choices. No one else can be.
ZERO!! i blame it all on the consumer. if they cant eat healthy, it is their fault!
None. You control what you put into your mouth.
I would say very little.

People who eat at fast food resturaunts are the ones responsible. They are the ones who make that choice.
I'm sure a lot of people might disagree, but I say NONE. It's the people who shovel that garbage into their mouths that are to blame. Nobody forces them to order a Big Mac and nobody forces them to supersize it.
none. people either choose to overeat or have physiological disorders i.e. thyroid disorders which contribute to obesity
I believe that if you get fat by eating nothing but fast food it's your own fault. Fast food is there to be a quick fix every once in a while, not to be eaten everyday. I worked in the drive thru of a fast food place and I saw the same ppl day after day after day eating breakfast and lunch. It's not healthy for anyone to eat that amount of sodium, fat, and cholesterol every day. Even a home cooked hamburger is far better because the meat is fresh and you have a better chance of draining the fat off the meat.
Ok enuf ranting for today!
None....but I think the lawyers got em scared all the healthy crap they come up with lately
Just another excuse for lazy fat a$$es to sue someone
The amount of commercialization of the Fast Food industry is very appaling. You see atleast one ad an hour on any TV channel about Fast Food. This is a big impact on people. It is commerically a huge impact on the US population. But, it is the people's responsibility to take action to prevent obesity and fat. Well, the fast food industry is like the cigrette industry in the fact that they give the fat levels on the labels. Thats it
Yes everyone has a personal responsibility for the food choices that they make. But I do think that the fast food industry is guilty of trying to get kids hooked before their old enough to make those healthy decisions for themselves. Clowns, happy meals, play areas, and their inundated by commercials during every children's show not shown on public television. Yes it is the parent's responsibility to teach children to eat healthy but the fast food industry does everything it can to counteract that. Carrots don't come with a free prize in bag covered with comics.
You wouldn't get mad at a 7 year old who smoked pot because some pusher influenced him to try it. You'd get mad at the pusher.
I'd recommend watching the movie Super Size Me it's a real eye opener. And I'd recommend watching it with your kids.
