I know water "flushes" your system, but does it "wash fat away"? (I read it in another answer)?
Question: What exactly does water do? What does it mean to flush your system? Flush your system of what kinds of toxins?
Answers: it does not flush away fat, and in fact its quite misleading to say it 'flushes' away toxins- it does however provide a base for cellular waste such as urea (which is a toxin excreted as waste by cells) to dissolve in so it can be more easily excreted.
Drinking enough water will make going to the loo easier (both number 1s and 2s) and will help prevent headaches. it can also mean you eat less because the body can misinterpret thirst for hunger, so if you address your thirst first, your body may decide it isn't hungry after all.
Flush your system of toxins and keep you hydrated so that all your organs work properly. Water will help you lose weight by keeping yourself hydrated, but it does not flush fat.
It does not help flush fat. It helps flush out the stuff your body no longer wants. Drinking water on a diet also helps to give you a fuller feeling so you don't eat as much.
Water is the liquid in your system that can help move things around, including fat. If you are not properly hydrated, toxins cannot be removed as efficiently. This applies to any kind of toxin that is in your body. Water will not actually literally wash fat away. It also does not literally flush your system like you flush a toilet or a sink with water and it just moves stuff out. The metaphor is significantly simpler than what actually happens. Your various organs process nutrients and toxins in the way that they do, and it all gets carried around by water. The point is you need enough of it.
Also, you don't actually need to *drink* 8 cups of water a day. You need 1 milliliter of water per calorie you eat. MOST of that water is included in prepared foods. Most people need to drink something like 2 - 5 cups a day.
water hydrates you. it helps remove bacteria and other harmful microrganisms. if you drink eight glasses of water a day your okay.
Water speeds up your metabolism, gives you the liquids necessary for the body to work well. Speeding up your metabolism, or accelerating it means it could help burning a little more fat.... but no, it won't get rid of it all. When you drink a lot of water it cleans your system, it washes for example the excess sodium from your body, but drinking too much water could lead to a problem called hyponatremia, where you lose too much sodium (common in athletes). Keeping a good volume of water in your system also makes blood easier to be pumped by the heart.... so, that;s another advantage.
8 glasses, the ideal for a regular human being. Not an athlete.
No. Water does not flush fat...I have heard that too.
Flush your system means to clean your body out. Water can help remove toxins from your body, it won't remove them all but its a great way to start. These toxins are the things that make us sick, mostly the types of bacteria that we don't need. And if you drink a lot of water you will notice that you pee a LOT. Like if you drank the 8 glasses a day (a little more than 2 water bottles) then you would be doing your body a favor, because your doing all the work for it!! So be sure to drink your water!
it flushes toxins, waste products that are not solid
