I`m twelve and i am damn fat should i diet or something??
Question: I have already started my period so that means that i need to eat more food to keep growing, thats what ma and pa said. And they said that daily going outside to play is right,i go out to ride my bike for around 15-30 min. And that when i grow taller i`ll get skinner. But i mean,my stomach is like 34 inches around or somethin. and i weigh like 120 punds. Do i need to diet? I dont really know what to do..(please only serious answers)
Answers: As for now, I don't think that you will have to worry about dieting, as you already said, you are still growing and your body needs time for adjustments, growth wise and hormonal as well. That stuff takes some time.
In the meantime, just make sure that you get plenty of daily exercise, and that you don't take too many of these empty calories in, like chips, milk shakes, soda, fries, chocolate and that kinda stuff...
And...it also depends on your genetics...if you are broad build and have 'heavy' relatives.
Oh, and one more thing, in case nobody has told you yet...the week before you menstruate you can even get bloating, which will increase your stomach circumference. So don't worry about that, ok?
well for your age u should be around 100-110...stop eating junk food such as chocolate, chips, soda, any type of sweets....but u still need to eat any other food cuz ur still growing
Just dedicate a little time each day to exercise. You'll be surprised how far a little each day can help. Set aside 30 minutes a day to walk down the road or ride your bike.
Also, cut out sugars & sweets from your diet as much as possible. Things like soft drinks have tons of sugar and carbs and will make you fat real quick.
BTW, you're not that bad off.
Well I don't think you need to diet, but if I were you, I would get some advice from someone that really knows what they are talking about, nutritionist or someone like that
excercse, gym, low calories
just try to keep excersizing alot and playing sports then soon youll be like 100 pounds
How tall are you? Because 120 pounds doesnt sound bad at all. Just eat healthy , dont over eat and keep riding your bicycle. You may also thin out as you get older.
You don't need to diet. But limit your eating habits.
Eat non fat foods, Green vegetables.
Limit wheat flour foods.
Try to eat only abt three times a day only.
Don't eat too much Chocolate. (once a week is enough)
Your probably just a growing kid. My younger brother is about to turn 13 and he recently has grown 3 inches and he about my size now(Im 5 9) he still looks pudgy, but not as fat when he was 7-10 yrs. old
I can totally relate to how you are feeling. I was overweight as a teen too. I think the best thing for you to do right now is to stay active and try to eat healthier foods. Eat lots of veges, salads, grilled meat and try to stay away from fried and processed food. But honestly, excercise is a great way to keep away the pounds. Try swimming, some sort of aerobic tapes, walking is great or take up a team sport. Going through teenage years being fat is not fun at all.
Some nutritionist believe that if kids would cut out the sodas and just walk a little more they would loose weight. Try that, it's not too hard to do and you'll feel better about yourself!
first off i am sorry to hear that you are so unhappy with your apperance. Some peoples metabilisms are just not as fast as others. As for food i would recommend healthy protien like meat at least once a day b/c it promotes muscle growth and enegry for exercise and is also good for you when you are on your period. This is so because your body is shedding a layer of its uterus and lossing a lot of the protien and amino acids it had made. So eating meat is good just do it according to the serving size. Don't eat when you are not hungry, its a bad habit that even i still have. You may also try a mild workout that is in a teen magazine, but dont half *** it do it for 4 months and eat healthy religously and see the results. Less calories and more exercise equals weight loss. Good luck, and I hope that you can become comfertable in your own skin. It was hard for me but I did it. I was 12 and 140 lbs. now im 19 and 115 and healthy.
There are no short cuts to achieving what you want.
A good plan which essentially will involve a lot of regular physical activity. This can be anything that you like and enjoy.(playing games, or going to gym or swimming/bicycle riding etc)
And a sensible intake of food. The sensible foods will not hamper your growth but will definitely contribute towards weight reduction.
There is plenty of advise already been offered about the food so I won't list them. You can easily look it up yourself on the net or from a good book that deals with proper balanced nutrition.
Lastly a strong will is necessary if you are going to succeed.
