Should you eat before a workout? If so, when? And what food is best to eat before exercising??


Question: I've also heard you're supposed to eat within 30 minutes of your workout or your body will start using its own muscle rather that fat for energy...is this true?
Answers: no its not true. if you do need to eat before a workout something high in carbs is usually the food to choose. However having a cup of coffee or something high in caffine about an hour before a workout has been known to increase your metabolism therefore possibly burning more fat during your workout...
You shouldn't eat before the training because then the body uses the fat from the food you ate not the fat you have deeply stored in your body. But after you've finished with training, you should immediately eat a lot of protein, like a protein shake, a can of tuna fish or smth like that.
Yes, you are supposed to eat before a workout, but not a big lunch or anything just a small snack for energy.
