Answers: Depends on your needs. For the average sedentary person, about .5 g per pound of body weight.

For a weight lifter about 1 to 1.5 g per pound of body weight.
for an athlete 1-1.5 grams per lb of lean body mass is sufficient.

for a sedentary individual .5-1 gram per lb of lean body mass is sufficient.

muscle protein turnover is a lot less is the sedentary individual so they require far less protein.
1-2 grams per pound of body weight...if you're active
