Ever have any success on the the diet pill, Slimquick??
Question: I started working out last week, doing step areobics 2x week and yoga 1x a week. I am also taking the diet pill, Slimquick. Im eating healthier and Im feeling better than I have felt in a long time. After having 2 kids, I am doing my best on making myslef feel better and look better. I know they say 2 lbs per week is minimum, but Ive been doing this since the Friday b4 last and Im down 10 lbs. Is this healthy to continue this? I feel great, Im not weak, Im not tired all the time like I was, and Im getting my energy back. I know its only been a short time, but do you think its too much too fast? Will I regret it later? Ive never actually heard of diet supplements working any and was just wondering if anyone else has had the same results. I seriously thought the ad on TV was bogus like they all are. Anyone else have a similar experiance and can give me their honest opinion? Thanks.
Answers: Yes, this is too fast. Diet pills WILL help you loose weight, but once you stop taking them, you'll gain back all that weight. When you make a permanent lifestyle change, the weight you loose is the weight you keep off, so your change in diet should be permanent, as should your exercising. You are losing weight to fast, the MAXIMUM is 2lbs a week. Stop with the diet pills, and you'll probably loose weight at a healthy pace. What I've done, is not diet, but I've changed my diet to fit with what the government says we should eat, lots of whole grains, smaller portions, I just eat healthy, and I've intensified every day activities (park further away, I wear weights on my ankles) and I've lost 15lbs since April. Long time, yes, but it's the result of permanent changes and it will stay off for good. Diet pills are a great way to loose a few pounds for class reunion or something, but should not be used when you want to keep weight off for good.
Just say no to diet pills! No one really knows what's in them anyways, and I think they act more as a placebo than anything.
You're feeling great because you are exercising and eating right ... congratulations! Keep up what you're doing. I didn't take any diet pills and I lost 10 lbs in about the same amount of time as you. Eventually you'll hit a plateau, but then just change up your exercise routine so you don't get bored.
Just leave the diet pill out. You can try MegaT green tea pills, which just help your metabolism & stuff, but I wouldn't go any further than that. If you do try those, make sure you eat something or they will make you feel pukey.
Save your money for some new clothes! :)
Edited to add: The *maximum* is not 2 lbs a week. You can safely lose 2-5lbs a week, provided you are not starving yourself. You'll just binge later and gain the weight back.
i sarted taking an different diet pills and it madi me go to the bathroom alot. maybe thats how am loosing the weight.

In case you didn't hear, there was actually a recent lawsuit against some diet pill companies for false claims and advertising, Slimquick was one of these along with Trim Spa. No it's not healthy to continue losing so much weight...the reason is YES you are losing weight but this means you are losing muscle as well. If you continue this, you will become a skeleton that looks like a deflated balloon. If you like to be saggy than by all means, be my guest and continue your routine. However, I guarantee you that of the lbs you lost, maybe 1 or 2 is actual fat. Diet supplements do not work. If they did, everyone in the country would have perfect bodies and there wouldn't be such a problem with obesity. Honestly, the only solution is to eat right and exercise. No pill is going to burn off your fat. Get your body fat measured as well. You may find that your body fat has increased despite losing that 10 lbs. I also suggest staying away from the scale, it likes to play tricks with our minds.
