Allergies or something else??
Question: I had just laid down to go to bed in my freshly washed and dried bedding, I just bought new sheets and I don't know if they are the cause of my misery but this is what has happened. I lay down in bed and about 10 minutes later my right ear starts hurting really badly, my nose clogs to the point that it's difficult to breathe and when I am able to actually blow my nose it is pink, looks like there is blood coming out of my nose but it's not alot of blood...just enough to be noticeable. Is this some sort of allergic reaction that is just effecting my sinuses or is it something I should be worried about? I honestly don't have a clue what to do right now, im miserable!
Answers: it's unlikely that you are allergic to the beeding or the detergent. they are washed in and made from the same components as your clothing... right? so if you were allergic to the material or the detergent then you would have symptoms all the time not only at night.
what is more likely is that you are allergic to dust mites which are tiny microscopic organisms that live in the dust conatined in your matress. you should vaccuum your mattress and then put clean sheets on it. also try taking an over the counter anti-histamine before you go to bed. if this helps you should ask your doctor to test you for dust mite allergies. good luck.
Myabe its an allergy.
Are the sheets syntetic or pure cotton.
Iff syntetic thenyou could have a allergy, iff cotton, maybe wash the sheets first and see iff the allergy goes.
Sometimes it can be the packing, or the fabric dy they colored the sheets or pattern with.
Good luck.
change the sheets and the bed spread if it is new. Take some benidrill it might help.
Are you using a new kind of laundry detergent, or a fabric softener? This could be causing the problem. Try Tide Free and do not use a softener.
