Excessive tearing in only one eye what could cause this??

Question: an otherwise healthy person, albeit one with a past history of tear duct blockage though not in many years, one who hasnt been around anything which could cause an allergy,so what could cause this?
Answers: you might have an overactive duct.
my friend has one, its treatable. see your doctor
Sounds like you might have a slight infection or something irritating the eye. See your eye doc and get this checked out.
scratch, foriegn body, go see your doctor.
You have mentioned previous tear duct issues . I think you should get it checked out with your eye doctor because of your previous history .
my aunt had excessive tearing when she was younger. in fact it was so bad, she looked like she was crying out of one eye most of the time. turns out she had herpes simplex 1 (possibly 2, i can't remember - its not the STD kind though) and she had to get medication for it. its possible you might have another tear duct problem as well
it sounds like a blocked tear duct again
It could be that the tear duct is acting up again, or something has gotten into the eye that you can't see.
