I think that i have mold in my house.??
Question: When we sleep in our bedroom, we wake up feeling awful. This morning my daughter has been throwing up & sleeping way past normal. She is not sick, but slept in my bed with me last night. Doc's said that she has allergies & that's why she's been stuffy, but she sleeps with me every night. The plumbing under our house is pitiful. The landlord won't correct the problem & we're moving on the 17th anyway. What should I do?
Answers: If you're moving soon, I wouldn't worry too much about it. If there is mold, it's the landlord's problem now.
Build a fun bed of pillows, sheets, comforters etc in the living room for you all until it's time to move out and see if your daughter gets any better. You can tidy away this fun-bed if you need to, and if you get a chance to interract with any new tenants warn them about the effect of sleeping in your bedroom, telling them you think it's mold. After the 17th, may you all have restful nights and invigorated days in a new place.
until you move use like a humidifier add a drop of vanilla extract in the water it does help.
we have the same problem in the house we are renting.
yes you have mole just try and keep the room spray dowm with like lysol or air fresher.

Sheesh! The LANDLORD won't see to repairs? Um- Sorry, but I seem to remember hearing that he's supposed to, if it's not the fault of the tenant. There are agencies you can report this kind of thing to.
In the meanwhile, don't sleep in the bedroom since that's where the problem is. One thing you can do is scrub it out with bleach so the landlord can't claim you were a 'bad tenant'.

I'm glad that you're moving out.....and it'll only get worse at that residence. When you're completely moved out, you should report your landlord to the authorities.....before someone else gets sick. Mold emits spores, which can cause a very bad lung infection....and it capable of causeing fatalities.......especially in the elderly and the infirm. In the meantime, you can try pouring bleach in a bucket and splashing it under the house......or where it's constantly wet at. That'll help some....but of course it'll come back soon........get out of that place as soon as you can.....best of luck to you.........

If the plumbing is bad under the house, there isn't much you can do about mold. It's nasty stuff- in the meantime, see if you can find any visible mold other places in the house and eradicate it with bleach and hot water.
You'd know if there was Mold it forms on the walls especially in the bathroom your moving so no worry but it's up to the landlord to fix that problem
I'm very allergic to mold,,it about killed me a few years ago..and the only thing that saved my life was me moving...no meds would help me...so try to stay away from it and get a air purifier that might help till you move..
