Can I use Saline solution (for contact lens) to rinse my nose??
Question: I have allergies and need to rinse my nose often. Went to find nasal drop at Boots but they ran out.. so i bought sterile saline water for contact lens cleaning instead, cos i heard we could use it for the nose too.. but not sure.. anyone's used it before?
Answers: If you wish to waste money ....yes.
Why not make your own. One tablespoon of salt in boiled water. It will last for ages.
I have used a nasal spray bottle filled with saline solution to help nosebleeds, so you should be okay with it.
I think saline solution is simply salt water and it is used to clean out cuts and wounds etc
you should be able to
My Grandfather used to work in a foundry, and when he got home he used to wash his nose out with salt water. It worked for him.
As long as it is normal saline with nothing else added it should be fine
