I have a really bad flu whats the best cure Esp with a blocked nose??
Question: i have tried everything i need to go to work tomorrow can anyone sure some good cures with me
Answers: Rest. Every single chance you get...
Take a hot, hot shower and mouth-breathe the steam... it will help break up the phlegm in your lungs and loosen the snot in your nose.
Rubbing Vicks mentholatum Vapo-rub on your chest sometimes helps with the decongestion.
Drink PLENTY of fluids. Hot tea, water, Gatorade (or similar drink), Jell-O, chicken soup (also known as Jewish penicillin), vitamin C sources...
BED REST. Just read in bed. Nap a lot. Read some more. Watch TV, if there's one near the bed. Nap some more. Resting allows your body to spend its limited energy fighting the virus and making you well.
Keep Kleenex close by.
Take aspirin or a Tylenol equivalent to keep your fever down.
if you could get tomorrow off, that would be grand... if not, try to leave as soon as possible after work.
These things, combined with even 1 whole day of bedrest have sped up my flu recovery EVERY time I've had the flu... and I've had it once a year since college (am 45, now).
Decongestants you get from behind the pharamacy counter. They are still otc's but due to laws the best ones you have to ask the pharamiist for. Like Sudafed or Claritin D.
I think just time and lots of rest. There's no magic cure. Maybe someone can suggest some drugs that will help clear your head. In my experience, though, if you push yourself too hard, you'll just make it drag on longer. Get lots of rest.
lemsip max strength, olbas oil for blocked nose, ive had two lots of flu virus since xmas, still havnt got voice back after 5 wks, hope work doesnt tire you out too much, drink plenty of fluids
Actifid (1 bill at night )...for blocked nose
panadol (cold & flu ) ..subside all the sign and symptoms of flu ..very effective
You don't have 'flu, you have a cold.
If you had 'flu you wouldn't be well enough to be sitting at a computer, and you wouldn't even be thinking about going to work tomorrow.
There are no cures for a cold.
If you suffer from hay fever and are prescribed a nasal spray e.g. Beconase or Otrivine use that.
These have been recommended by my local pharmacist.
I have tried them and they really do work.
Take paracetamol for aches, pains and temperature.
Honey and lemon drinks for sore throats.
Hope you get well soon.
