Alergic to fruits and vegetables.??

Question: All my life I have been alergic to fruits and vegetable (most of them anyway it seems) Primarily banannas, apples, oranges, salad, grapes, tomatoes carrots and the like. However, with others, like grapes and tomatoes, it oinly effects me some of the time. And, usually when these items are well mixed in with something - it doesn't effect me. The effect is very itchy sinuses (thoat, ears, teath, sensitive toungue). Is there somewhere or someone to which I can find out the cause / information about this weird allergy?
Answers: You have atopic dermatitis. It is most often associated with asthma and history of allergy in your family as well.
Try these websites. I hope you will definitely get some good tips and come to know about the allergy and how to prevent it

Go see a physician and whatever you do, don't become a vegetarian.
does it matter if the vegatables are cooked? try to google fruit and veg allergy, alot of useful links come up.
You didn't do any thing to cause your allergy. You likely inherited it. You can, however, make it worse by continuing to eat the offending foods. It's important to leave them alone.
follow up with your allergist and nutritionist. always carry Benedryl and an epi-pen. look up FAAN online for more resources.
You are right; it is called oral allergy syndrome. I used to have it too. I could not eat salad until I was 35 years old. As you said, it is linked with pollen allergies. I was so bad that just getting the juice on my skin made me break out in a rash. I went to an allergist and had allergy desensitation shots for my pollen allergies. After being on the shots for five years, my allergy to raw fruits and vegetables went away! Now I can even eat salad and watermelon and all those other things.
