How do you use a neti pot??
Answers: Mix about 8 oz. of lukewarm water and 1/4 non-iodized salt. Be sure that the salt has disolved. Then you put your head over the sink facing down looking into the sink. Turn your head to the side, with your forehead being a little higher than your chin. Place the neti pot spout up to the top nostril and begin to pour. It will take a few seconds for the water to go up into your sinus cavity and come out the other nostril. Remember to breathe through your mouth... not your nose. When you are finished with that side, blow your nose. Repeat procedure for the other side. Be sure to blow your nose aftward to remove all the stuff in your sinuses.
It's a fairly simple procedure - check here to see step by step instructions on how to use a neti pot. If you're even slightly in doubt about any of the steps, however, please see your doctor!
