If i give my 8yr old daughter Benadryl allergy (1) (which her dad takes)wuld that help her or harm her??
Answers: If I were you, I'd be very careful and dose with 1/3 to 1/4 of the adult dose. In future, you should consider getting the children's formulation, which gives you instructions on how to dose by weight.
If she needs it for allergies, it will be fine as long as she takes the correct dose. Which is NOT the same dose her dad would be taking. She prob needs about 12.5 mg, so you would need the syrup form of Benadryl and a measuring cup/spoon. An adult capsule is 25 mg. Also, give it to her at night as she's prob going to be pretty sleepy.
It would help her. Just don't give her the full dosage.
