How Long Does the Allergic Reaction to Aleve Last??
Question: I took Aleve for 5 days and I stopped taking it 10 days ago. I developed itching hands and feet and swollen lips, which I understand is a possible allergic reaction to Aleve. My doctor can't tell me how long it will last. I am controlling the symptoms with Benedryl, but this makes me very sleepy. How long will this last?
Answers: well you took it for five days, so it had a chance to build a level and it is metabolized thru the liver, you can have traces for up to a month.
My dad's reaction lasted several days. I can't remember how many days though.
My friend that took it is on kidney dialysis now, the doctors told her the Alleve poisoned her kidneys. One came back but they told her there may not be a chance for the other one to recover.
