Sty is reoccuring in my nose every 10 days....doctors advice pls?wat to do......??
Question: recently i have had this problem of a sty developing in my nose at diffferent areas.its there for 2-3 days...pains a lot....guess there is pus formation.....i m not prone to dusty areas...cant find a solution and reason of the problem...advice from a good doctor would be of a great help.
Answers: Have your Dr prescribe some Bactroban ointment (generic mupirocin) and take a clean q-tip and apply a dab to sore area twice a day for 10 days. Because this problem is recurrent, you probably have colonized staph germs in your nose that will cause these stys to recur over time, so if you want to be cured, ask your Dr about doing intranasal Bactroban. All this means is that instead of just treating the sty, use a clean q-tip for each side of nose and apply a dab of Bactroban and twirl it around inside of entire nose twice daily for 10 days or two weeks (whatever the Dr tells you). This will give you a chance for a complete cure and this is also how hospital personnel deal with colonized staph infections among employees. The generic mupirocin ointment works just as well as the expensive intranansal Bactroban plus you will have ointment left over in case you need to retreat further down the road. Bactroban is a prescription med in the US but not in Canada.
btw -The pain from the sty will stop after 2-3 days treatment but you need to keep treating for 10-14 days if you intend to kill the infection that caused the sty in the first place.

For one you cant get a sty in your nose. A sty is an infection and or inflammation or you could say abcess of the glands in your eyelids.
My advice is go see a doctor.
there's some ointment (antibiotics) that you can apply for a period of a week or 10 days.. if there's any pus formation, and it is painful, just open it. Generally, you don't need antibiotics po.`
It`s a foruncle in nose.Foruncle is infection of hair root.Under local anesthesia u r doctor nan remove them. It is safe.
Can't be a sty, those are in the eyes. Could possibly be a herpetic source like Shingles. Take zinc and apply, believe it or not, Vicks salve in the nose until it is gone. Vicks dries the places up and has been used for years.
