Can decongestants cause the ears to ring??

Question: My ears often ring because of sinus congestion itself, but I want to make sure the medications I use with decongestants aren't just replacing one sort of ringing for another.
Answers: yes especially nose sprays, take a liquid decongestants.
I have never heard that before, but who knows.
Decongestants are supposed to drain the liquid that's making your ears ring.
Ringing in the ears can be caused by different things, not just sinus congestion. (i.e. compounded ear wax)

I do agree that there are certain types of sinus medications that can cause ringing in the ears.

I suggest you see an ENT physician, if your symptoms continue for more than 2-3 months.

Beware of subtle hearing loss.
