I don't know if I have Sinus infection or thrush??

Question: I had been dealing with this odor from my breath and nose for about a year. I have been on antibiotics and been using home remedies. but nothing seem to work. HELP>...............
Answers: thrush is a yeast infection on your tongue. have you had your doctor take any cultures of your nose or inside your mouth?? If not, you should.
If it is thrush the doc can see this on your tongue and if it is a sinus infection they can do sinus x-rays to diagnose this. Have you considered maybe your bacteria in your gut is not healthy? Try use acidophillus capsules daily or eating yogurt with live bacteria. If that doesn't do it then see your doc AND your dentist to find out what is going on.
thrush is a harshly irritating infection that you can't even eat. i was thinking about drinking some baking soda this morning myself, or maybe vinegar instead but don't mix'em.
Can't diagnosis this online, but thrust is more or less like a yeast infection in your mouth. The yeast fungus over grows & you should be able to see white spots on your tongue, throat etc & it will hurt like heck the worst it gets. I have seen thrust so bad in cancer patient who have had radiation to their head it looks like a big mouth full of cottage cheese. Bad odors need diagnosed by doctor's if they linger, could be sinus, tonsils, bad teeth, resp problems you never know, but you need to get it checked.
An allergy?
Allergies aren't helped by antibiotics.
Unless you have an immunodeficiency, you are very unlikely to have thrush (oral Candida infection). If you did, you would see white stuff on your tongue or in your throat and it would probably be interfering with your ability to swallow. It also isn't especially smelly.

You should see an ENT. There are a few possibilities, but without more information it's hard for me to suggest anything meaningful. (What kind of odor? Do you have pain? Post-nasal drip? Why were you on antibiotics?) There is something called a Zenker's diverticulum which is kind of a pouch forming in the esophagus where food can collect (yeah, kind of gross) and cause an odor. However, bad breath can be a sign of some more serious medical problems, so you really should try to get to the bottom of what's causing it.

Good luck!
Only babies have thrush. You probably have chronic sinusitis which can be cured by an operation that opens the sinus passage so any mucous can drain naturally. Consult with your doctor.
