Question: I am Highly allergic to sitting in air conditioned rooms, my job forces me to remain with the a/c for the whole day, I changed 2 of my previous jobs and remained at home for 6 to 8 months each time before I could be fit to join another job . Now I know that I cannot stay sway from the AC so need to prevent it altogether, medical help has not been of much help, I don't have a personal cabin, so I cannot swich off the a/c.

your allergy is probably from the dust. you should change the filters often
There is no obvious reason why air conditioning should tickle your allergies. There are two possibilities: you may be reacting to the chilled air itself, or to allergens on dust circulated by the moving air. The former you can't do much about; the latter can be alleviated to a degree by changing filters.
Your going to have to stay on meds and wear a mask I think.
I would recommend you to keep the A/C well maintained i.e servicing etc. so that the allergens don't settle in the filters. Try some Septilin tablets three times a day for three months and this will increase your immunity and you may get relief from your allergy
It really depends on the symptoms you're experiencing. Are you wheezing/coughing? If so, sometimes cold air can trigger symptoms of asthma. Cold air can also cause runny nose, and it's not necessarily allergies. But, if your nose/eyes are constantly itching, that's usually a sign of allergies, likely to dust mites or other indoor allergens. The itching is the key symptom. If you are, then a daily antihistamine like Zyrtec is helpful, with a nasal steroid like Nasonex/Rhinocort/etc.

Hope this helps!
