If your allergic to shrimp and u cook it a certain way will it affect you??

Question: I like eating it but Im allergic to it so I need help with that
Answers: No matter how you cook it you will be allergic to it, if you are allergic to iodine in it there is no way to get that out...

sorry...
No matter how you cook it, you'll still be allergic to shrimp. So don't eat it.
I don't know about the cooking part of it, but I know what helps me. I am actually allergic to the iodine in the shrimp shell. As long as I don't handle the shell or the shrimp are cooked without it , I have not problem. It's the same with crab meat. I love crab legs but I absolutely can not touch the shell.
If you are allergic to the shrimp then no matter how you cook it, it will still be shrimp when its done.
I would avoid all seafood if you are allergic to shrimp. Unless you want to take Benedryl before eating it and take your chances. Personally I would pass and go out for Chinese or Chicken. :)
I think it really depends on the severity and nature of your allergy: if you are seriously allergic, I would NOT suggest you to even try eating it no matter how you prepare it.

However, from what you said, it doesn't sound like the allergy is too much a problem to you (since you've tried it at least a couple of times). Moreover, sometimes, it might be just that one incidence: maybe the shrimp wasn't really fresh. You really should ask your doctors about this allergy; get some skin tests done if you can.

By the way, sometimes you can get desensitized from an allergy by repeated exposures (the distribution of your cell subsets get rearranged so that you don't get as severe a reaction).
It is OK to cook it but if you eat it you will get a reaction. No matter how you cook it.
Remember this:
Allergic Raw, Allergic Cooked
It does not matter how it is cooked, it is still shrimp and you will still have a reaction. You best avoid all shellfish.
For anyone allergic to shellfish - DO NOT drink Joint Juice. I called to see what made it work bc I wanted to know, and they informed me it was made out of shrimp shells or something to that effect.
