Is there something the doctor can prescribe to help stop smoking??

Answers: Yeah. try Wellbutrin/Zyban
i want to know this too!:)
They sometimes prescribe the antidepressant Wellbutrin (also called Zyban I think) but it doesn't do much. The best thing is to simply get the nicotine patches and use them fully as directed for a couple of months. They take the edge off the nicotine withdrawal, but you got to seriously want to quit.
busbar or wellbutrin
you can get a rx patch or they can give you wellbutin it is a depressent pill but it works my doc gave it to me.
There are a variety of smoking cessation aids available. Some require a prescription from a doctor, while others are available over-the-counter. I'm sure your doctor could provide more information for you.
