Does sleeping alot makes you fat??
Question: i tend to sleep alot more than i eat. for example, if i have to go to work at 5pm, i would sleep all day, wake up at 4pm to get ready to go to work. i get to work, and work all the way to 11pm. and then i would stop by a fast food place to get something to eat. i get home, stay up till 2 or 3 am, ( i can't sleep anymore because i have already slept all day ) then i would go to sleep then. this is usually my normal day. I am also trying to lose weight too. i dont do this routine everyday. i do it maybe 3 times a day. please tell me : does sleeping alot makes you fat????
Answers: Sleeping is good for you, but anything in excess can have negative side effects. Most studies say that you'll get fat if you don't sleep enough. The recommended amount of sleep is 8-9.5 hours. Plus, you do burn calories while you sleep.
WATER...WATER...WATER is needed with your life style. Over sleeping dehydrates you and so does your eating habbits. Give up all fluids and only drink water (maybe 1 -2 cups of coffee is ok if you're a caffeen addict). WATER...WATER...WATER... exercise is helpful too.
Happy New year and best wishes for your resolution of trimming up.
It all depends on much you excercise, but if you do not pratice an active life, sleeping too much and be inactive could make you gain weight. Drs recommend 6-8 hours of sleep, no matter how much you sleep as long as you eat healthy and have an excercise routine, you will be more than healthy.
sleeping does not make you fat, but you will gain weight if you go to sleep right after you eat fast food. If you have to eat that late at night, try eating something healthier before you go to bed. this should help.
No, actually a buddy of mine got a very big book of sleep, and it clearly expressed that contrary to popular belief, people ideally will sleep 10 hours daily. No joke.
Certain things involved here can cause weight gain. You say you stop by and get fast food, that'll do it. Sleeping within 3-4 hours of eating will also do the trick pretty quickly.
Also sleeping a lot often implies a fairly inactive person. Lack of activity, eating crappy (especially before bed) And not getting the proper balance of nutrients to keep a healthy metabolism are the most sure fire causes of weight gain.
Small answer, sleeping 10 hours daily is optimal, an hour or two more each day isn't going to make you overweight. Though you might get a physical exam if you're tired constantly.
Sleeping can help you lose wait. Unless you go to sleep right after eating. Then the food just kind of lays there and turns into fat. It can also give you a stomach ache. If you eat before going to bed.
Sleeping a lot does not make you fat except that if you sleep a lot you are not physically active so you won't burn as many calories so you might gain weight quicker than if you didn't sleep so much.
Another thing I wonder is if your excessive sleep is a symptom of something else? Are you depressed? Are you taking any medication that might have a side effect of weight gain?
