Why do surgeons put tape on peoples eyes when they operate??

Answers: so they stay closed - if not they can stay open and as the anaesthetic stops the patient's blinking reflex, their eyes would dry up very fast.
Its so they don't way up during the operation to see what they are doing, sometimes the anesthetic wares off during the operation.
they do that?????????i din know!weird..... but why? maybe because their surgery will 'open their eyes to the reality that you never know when you need surgery.....maybe their surgeon just looks hideous
So that hey can't see their Nasty operation!!!!
Because they hate to be stared at.
During surgery they give you drugs to paralyze you. That means you can't blink. If the cornea dries out you go blind. They squirt an opthalmic ointment in you eyes and tape them shut until the drugs are reversed.
so the eyes don't dry out, some people sleep with their eyes just a little open.
The surgeons tape peoples' eyes when they operate, because, when they go under (anesthesia), they will loose their blinking reflex and they eyes would open and end up drying the cornea. So they tape it to keep it closed and avoid drying of the cornea.
