Does any one have any advice on how to give up smoking???


Answers: The most important is to really want to give up. If you are strongly motivated, you have a high chance to succeed. Remove any habit that is strongly associated with smoking (coffee, alcohol) and, if you want, use either the patch or prescription medication that helps with nicotine addiction. Once there, reward yourself for every cigarette-free day, week, month, year... Celebrate success and share with your friends and family. You can do it!

u should start coke... it's better than cigarettes... u'll get over cigarretes in no time

Keep you're mind busy... like if you feel the urge to smoke do something that makes you think... cross words and reading, etc
Just quit, it is easiest. Gum just delays the withdrawal
I was a heavy smoker for years and couldn't do anything about it. Then one weekend I was broke and went to the store on the corner where I had arranged credit for myself so that I could get smokes. But, they had hired a new guy and there was noway he was going to let me out of the store with some smokes. Back then I had the precaution of throwing away all the old butts because I was broke quite often and cigarette were still under $2. I hated going thru the ashtrays for butts. SO, I was stuck without smokes until Monday. I told the guy at the store that he would be loosing a lot of money if he didn't give me some smokes because I would quit! AND I DID! It has been maybe 15 years since then.
Of course, that is only the start of the story. I smoked five packs of cigarettes a day. I was unable to do anything that I normally did. It was like my intelligence was disconnected. I became an idiot! But, that ****** who wouldn't me smokes back at the store wasn't seeing me no more. It was costing him close to $100.00 a week in sales to loose me.
Basically I used my anger to get beyond something that had me stumped for years.
