Why do we have sinuses??

Answers: The truth is that nobody knows. Some people speculate that it helps sound resonate to help us hear our own voices. Some think they are designed to make the head lighter. If you believe in evolution, you know that species do not evolve toward a certain point; random genetic mutations happen, and their effects on survival chances determine whether or not those mutations will be seen several generations later.

This means that not every evolutionary adaptation has to have a function; but if a genetic change has no effect on survival or mating habits, it will probably be passed on to subsequent generations.

Quite possibly another gene that did increase our evolutionary ancestors' chances of survival tended to be passed on with the gene for sinuses, and that is how we ended up with them.
