What are good ways to get donations and/or sponsors for a charity marathon/run??
Question: I need to raise a certain amount of money to participate in a ccharity marathon. I have never done this before.
Answers: Ask at school, work, or church. You may wish to type up a form letter, make copies, write in individuals' names, sign them, and mail them out.
You can also sometimes get businesses to sponsor you. They can use it as a tax write off. Write up a nice letter and bring it with you to the store. Ask to speak with the manager. Explain what you are doing and ask if they would be willing to sponsor you.
Don't forget to write thank you notes!
