Seriously: my husband is a bad bad snorer.I cannot sleep anymore.??
Question: I am looking for a safe, easy procedure.HELP!!
Answers: I so know what you mean. Sleep deprivation in these circumstances can make a person feel homicidal. Seriously. Inadvertently, my ex's snoring led to the end of our marriage (a long story which I will not bore you with here but suffice to say there were other things going on too!).
There are non-prescription nasal sprays that you can buy for him to try. If this fails, tell him to haul himself down to his doctor as there are lots of things that can be done to alleviate his condition before surgery becomes necessary.
Good luck!
move to the couch or another room.
Breatheright strips would be a good first choice
get your self a room or sleep in the living room.
well i moved into my own room downstairs it was so bad wirh my hubby snoring
i cant sleeep wen others snore either--- get a nose checkcup =--:) or um...
Have your husband get a sleep study
get some ambien, that works for me when my hubby snores
Get another husband, even though u said safe. ummmmm let me see, this happens when someone breathes through there mouth and nose at the same time, thats why people snore, maybe he has some sinus problem or something. Try buying him those nasal strips at the pharmacy so he can keep his nasal passages open, maybe that will help. If not kick him in the ribs like I used to do, ( but I dont have husband now), hahaha. Good luck
my kids' father is the same way. we haven't slept in the same room in over a year and a half
There are many causes...........
The most common are smoking and being overweight.
There can also be more serious medical conditions so get him checked at the doctors to make sure he is healthy.
If giving up smoking, losing weight and trying all the stuff on the markets don't work, introduce him to the sofa!!!
your husband should be diagnosed by a doctor to establish the cause of the snoring first.
My brother suffered from sleep apnea and snored like you wouldn't believe.
He now wears a special mask hooked up to a machine and he doesn't snore at all and he is more rested and relaxed.
Another option is surgery, this is a simple procedure and is non invasive.
He should consult a Doctor.
get him to see a doctor..., there are things they can do or move to another room...
When your husband is awake and coherent inform him in a way he will not be liable to defend himself. Yelling is not a good idea here.
Tell him his snoring is keeping you up at night and you would miss the warmth of his presence if you went to another room. This both informs him of your dilemma and allows him to see you enjoy his presence.
Suggest to your husband that he sleep in a different position, either more or less pillows, or on his side or back.
When he is asleep and snoring in your ear gently tap him on the shoulder and ask him to move to a position more comfortable IE roll over
sometimes snoring is a result of lack of oxygen intake while sleeping changing positions makes it easier to breathe
My spouse snores sometimes. Then I just prod her and she stops, if it is too frequent in a single night, then I move to another room for that night. Snoring runs in her family-her brothers and her cousins, both male and female- also snore a lot, it's a family joke actually especially among their respective spouses. Unfortunately none of them accept the fact that they snore, and one of the snorers happens to be a doctor who nonchalantly calls it a normal thing and refuses to even consider a medical option.
I think there is a therapy that helps reduce or eliminate snoring. Why don't you consult your doctor?
Does he feel fatigued during the day after sleeping all night. He may have sleep apnea.that can only be diagnosed in a sleep clinic, and it can be treated with a cpap machine talk to your doc about it.
