My husband has a pain that started 4 months ago in his neck and gradualy down to his buttocks and cheeks??
Question: this is intense pain where he cant even sit down
Answers: If his cheeks are anywhere his buttocks it's no wonder he has back pain! I'm sorry I just had to say that. Please forgive me. Now to really help you. I don't the cause but here is a couple of links that may help.
Sincerely,
Terry
it would be best if you get a doctors advice, not ours on this subject
myhusband has had the same queit a few times, it could be your husbands siactic nerve, it is very painful, there were times my husband had to crawl to the bathrroom, cuz he couldn't stand straight, he used to sit up in a chair to sleep, CZ it hurt to lie down, he went to a chiropractor for months, then he has been exercises and it is ac-ally helped. it sucks ive also had the samething. go the the chiropractor, good luck, oh ya you can but a cold pack on it.thatswhat we had to do. it does help at least try it.
IF this pain is being cause by pinched nerves (a confusing statement...really muscles in spasm) I suggest: taking 24 hours of personal time, away from any and all except someone to wait on him. Take 1 10mg Valium and 800 mg Ibuprofen....do this on 8 hours schedule for 24 hours...he can zone out, but if muscle spasm, this will stop it and reduce inflamation. If you is better after this, the direction is clear...if the muscles are still in spasm to some extent, a Norgesic of some kind (pills to relax voluntary muscles) is called for until inflamation is over. Good luck
I am sure you heard this advice but.. SEE a doctor immediately. I would consider it serious enough to not wait around. It sounds very much like a bad circulation problem and I am surprises that you waited this long..
