Wat is that cracking sound when we oscilate our neck to one side & other?is it harmful to us??

Question: health
Answers: Guess it similar to breaking knuckles! Someone told me its Nitrogen trapped in the joints getting released with a pop.

Should be safe I guess.

If it isn't, its either gonna pain very badly or you're already dead with a broken spine! Relax and oscillate or whatever you do to your neck.
It's your spine popping. It's fine
Neck popping or cracking is harmful. Just like cracking your knuckles is. If you often crack or pop your neck yourself, it probably means that the joints are hypermobile. The ligaments are a bit lax so the joints move a little more than they should. In response, the muscles tighten up to stabilize the joints. This makes your neck feel tight and makes you want to crack it. When you do that, the muscles are momentarily stretched, they relax somewhat, and you feel better for a while. But when you crack your neck you also stretch the loose ligaments further which makes the muscles tighten up again. It’s a vicious cycle.
STOP POPPING YOUR NECK.
Studies show that repetitive knuckle cracking can do some damage to the soft tissue of the joint. It may also lead to a weak grip and a swelling hand.
well it depends on what type of crackling if it is very quiet crackling,it is probably a very tense muscle stretching. If it is louder, just like our joints, if the vertebrae is manipulated the right way it will crack sort of like cracking you knuckles. And in that circumstance it can cause arthritis in the hand and I know people can get arthritis in their neck so I do think it may be harmful eventually. But not sure just my opnion ;o)
It depends on what kind of oscillation did you do.

If you did it the slow, silent way. It's pretty fine for loosening up joints.

If you did it the hard, fast way. It's pretty damaging to the spinal cord inside. It may be harmful and may cause irrepairable damages. As far as I'm concerned, there has not yet been an operation for those kinds of problems.

So basically, hard/fast not good. slow/silent not bad.
