Does anyone know good tips on how to fall asleep quickly??
Question: I have a lot of trouble sleeping and I wake up really easy too.
Answers: When I go to bed, I fall to sleep almost immediately. Try this, count to 100, counting your breaths. Just to keep calm, when you get to around 40 or 50, start over, that will keep you calm. If you get to 100, get up. Don't eat or watch TV. Instead, do some work, like writing or reading. When you are tired you will go back to bed. This really does work.
If I have a hard time falling alseep I take tylenol simply sleep, it works good to shut the brain off & isnt addictive.
warm hot chocolate
or hot milk
and a good pillow
always helps me
and always make sure u go toilet b4 bed
I play a dumb little kids game in my head.
A my name is Alice
and my husbands name is Albert
we live in Alabama
and we sell Apples
I go thru the whole alphabet and instead of the obvious names and words like the example above, I try to think of obscure ones:
A my name is Althea
and my husbands name is Aristotle
we live in Antigua
and we sell Antacids
It is really stupid but it works for me. As I try to come up with original names, places and things I find my mind wanders and I doze off.
Can't help you with staying asleep tho!!
take a warm shower or bath. avoid eating or exercise, do not read or watch tele in your bedroom..play some soothing music...
Drink a glass of milk at least maybe an hour to a half-hour before going to bed, work out/exercise 8 hours or so before your normal bedtime, or read something really technical or a really slow-moving story. When you close your eyes, relax your entire body as well as your mind.

have you tried a vitamin called Valerian Root? it's a natural remedy and it works very well for me. they sell it over the counter.
