I'm not sure I understand your question, but I think you are talking about a gut reaction. Most women are blessed with the ability to gage a situation or size up a person with a gut reaction. Sometimes they call it intuition. Most men are not geared to think emotionally, so even if they have a gut reaction to something or someone, they will override it with a logical reaction and not trust their instinct or intuition.
As a guy, I trust my gut reaction only about half the time. I have tried to give it the benefit of the doubt, but when I end up being wrong about something, I am more suspicious about my intuition or instinct.
