How do you get a person to go back on their medication, or at least to go back to doctor??

Question: someone close to me is bipolar, and has gone off their medication. it is affecting her greatly, and i dont think she notices just how much it is. how can i convince her to go back on, or at least get her to go back to her doctor?
Answers: Do whatever it takes to make it happen. Recently, 3 of my cousins were murdered by a friend of theirs that was off of his meds. Also, you be careful around her...If she gets violent, call the police and tell them she is off of her medication. They will make her take it or go to jail.
Not too much you can do with that, at least not til they get to a rough spot personally and then maybe they'll go. Whatever you say at this point will only make you the bad guy. So you can either wait it out or stay away.
you can if they dont want to
Ask her why she does not want to see a doctor. Tell her they have a new medication out that may do better than her last one. Tell her you care about her, and that you are worried. Say please as a friend just do it for me as a favor; I'll owe you one.
Tell whoever she listens to the most to get her to take her meds.

Track down a local bipolar support group and tell them your problem. They might be able to help.
Bargain with her, tell her that you will go with her to the doctors' visit and that if the doctor can convince you as her friend that she does not need it, then you will continue your trust in her.
