Are there any simple ways to reduce stress??
Answers: Exercise and enough sleep!
Have drink or smoke some pot at the end of your day.....you will find your stress levels reduced almost instantly.
Go dancing by either taking a salsa, merengue, cha-cha class or simply playing a sport that you like (preferably outdoor)
First, identify what it is that is causing you stress. Are there things that are bothering you, or is it just a general feeling of anxiety? If it’s just a general feeling of anxiety, a change in your diet and exercise could help. You should also check in with your health professional in case it is a problem that needs medical attention.
If it is related to things that are bothering you, then you need to do some inner work. It is critical to get the “abstract” of your thoughts out. Do this by writing. Not just thinking about issues, but putting pen to paper. A very powerful function happens in the brain when you are required to transfer abstract thoughts to the concrete characteristics of paper.
Sit down and list all the issues that are bothering you. Decide if you can in fact do anything about the issue. For example, we don’t have a lot of power over the war in Iraq or the cost of gasoline (although we can take some simple actions to curb the stress these things cause in our daily lives).
Then, among those items that you actually have some control over, choose one that causes you the greatest amount of stress. These may be things like unfilled taxes, over spending, weight gain, cluttered house, a broken relationship, etc.
Then, make a decision to take one action to help reduce the stress concerning this issue. If you are stressed because you are surrounded by clutter, chose one room in which to start. Then in that room, choose one little area, such as a bookcase or a desk. Do something.
You will feel a sense of accomplishment with this little bit of success.
You also might sit and make a plan to get control of those areas of your life that feel out of control. Even the plan with alleviate the stress. Then, bit by bit, begin completing those things in your live that are not finished. Take control where you can. And do something so that you don’t feel so out of control
