What happens to a smoker psychologically??

Question: i just need it for my research paper. psychological effects is the part that lacks. please help me! thanks.
Answers: Well as a smoker myself for many years psychologically the only thing I notice is that it can relax me, though they say in papers that the effect is the opposite. When I am uptight I will tend to smoke more. When relaxed less.
Coffee works the same for me, most people get hyped, I don't. So maybe my body reacts differently, I don't know.
As for long term psychological effects it is an addiction, mentally and physically, but I truly do NOT believe it affects my psychological health in anyway unless someone takes them away from me and take my word for it you do not want to be around me then. Good Luck on your report
this may help. teens, cigarettes, depression .It seems like a reliable source.
