Phsycology??
Question: Studying the mind drove me outta mine; how do you do it and stay sane?
Answers: It takes time, and not everyone is able to do it. The depths of the mind are staggering. I remember going nutso trying to understand this one woman. I finally can think from the place she is thinking from, and that scares the hell out of me. I think I was better off before. You know what they say: Ignorance is bliss.
Well, for me, exploring the human brain is so fascinating to me. I guess it's something you have to like for it not drive you crazy.
Kill the compassionate in you, you can care too much about people and be in psychology.
If you wanna study psychology, my best advice is to be in analysis.
I'm a psychologist, and ever since i've started to study, all the teachres told us that we have to go to a psychologist.
To answer your cuestion: you can't.
I study psychology and it was because I was already insane and wanted to figure out why. It has helped alot.
Once you have learned the human mind you realize their is nothing sane about it. It is unpredictable and yes has a mind of its own!
Always keep observations at an objective standpoint. Know what you know, and at first, think of what you read as a suggestion of a view that you could adopt, until you find that you believe in this view yourself, otherwise it could just be overlooked as though a tip that isn't relevant to your purpose. If this is to be studied, tests tend to try to put it in context as though you believe it to be true, so that is also something to be kept in mind while studying, but it doesn't mean that you have to truly believe it through and through. Especially if you have a distinctive viewpoint on life that doesn't always agree with theories and postulates stated in such texts. Try to keep an open mind, but do not absorb everything you read into your personality as if it's to form a new you identity. That's what makes people seem so intelligent, they begin to form a rational with the material they're studying, being able to decipher if it makes logical sense to them, or if it's just something that was just placed into text due to tradition and expectation.
