If you have a psychological problem can you heal yourself??
Answers: I don't think so, but I have a friend who claims he has counseled himself and given himself therapy - and he says it worked. I suppose it's possible! It would certainly cost a lot less money...
it depends on the problem If its something that has to do with the brain then no id say you cant. If its something less complex I would see a doctor about it and see if there are other ways of handling the problem.
Yes. Its called self meditation. Relaxation, regrouping, and THINKING! : )
I suppose it would work only if the person fully and wholly accepts the nature of his/her condition and works towards healing themselves. However, most psychological conditions cannot be pinpointed by those afflicted by it because they are too close to the source ...so accurate diagnosis and eventual treatment for the right disease , so to speak, could be a problem.
Yes you can, you just need some time alone, identify your problem, get a apply it. Remember that if you are trying to heal yourself, it does not happen overnight, and don't get frustrated if it takes a while, just keep getting your own time and keep re-assesing your problem.
Be honest with yourself.
what kind of problem?
If it is the one that serious like schizophrenia, Bipolar disorder caused by chemical imbalance, Manic Depressive, then perhaps, not..
If it just like fear of commitment, some mild case of phobia, then a self help book can help; and if you are religious, then, prayer helps too.
Psychological problems vary so far and wide, it depends on your problem, specifically. If it's something as simple as a mild case of depression, then you might have a shot at healing yourself.....it's something like schizophrenia related, or such, then you probably need the aid of professional help. I have counseled myself before, and I am the type of person that second guesses myself on pretty much everything, so all it really did for me was confuse me more....so if you have a mind like that (i hope you don't :) ) then you might consider a professional anyways.
yes and a little meditation can do a lot of help
No. I've tried that before (self-medication and self-help books) and it only made matters worst. Consult a doctor.
You are the only person who is with yourself 24/7/365. Listen to your heart, body and soul when seeking an answer. If all of them agree, you are right on your way to personal healing.
you have to be very carefull and cautious of the information you get and how you apply it. It's weird because alot of the symptoms of some mental illnessess could be confused by something simpler, for instance - like extreme shyness or self-conciousness and are easier to treat.Say you tell a doctor that you feel as if people are watching you,or that you are always nervous and anxious-one could possibly be labeled as a paranoid schizoid personality disorder..uumm, yeah..but what IF you had those symptoms because you were really really insecure about your looks and or weight and you always felt nervous because you assumed people were always judging you soo much , that you all of a sudden feel that way automaticly in public? you're not crazy, just insecure..see what i mean? i think people already know the answers themselves to their own problems but want someone to tell them whats wrong with them or find a 'label' for themselves so they can have closure on why they feel a certain way.OR they're soo much in denial of their problems and simply refuse to accept them, closing them off sub-conciously to their consious mind.
