Can I trust ordering contact lenses online??
Question: I just started wearing contacts not too long ago and I usually get them through my doctor. However, I saw a good deal on a website (1-800-contacts) and was wondering if it was safe to order online. Is it legit?
Answers: im pretty sure tahts the same place my buddy Jonn gets his..
he buys them in bulk onilne.. iv never heard him complain..
lmao.. this guys been my best friend for years..
i JUST found out a few weeks ago he wears contacts.. lmao
I'm Stationed in Japan and I order online. As long as you get the brand your doc fitted you for (mine is acuview 2) and the exact prescription then you'll be ok. Getting a different brand or the wrong prescription is asking for trouble.
yeah its safe but make sure u have an up to date prescription cuz they will check with your dr
yes, its legit. 1800 calls your eye doc and verifies that you are telling them the correct contact lens parameters.
most docs loathe 1800-CONTACTS not b/c they are competition , but b/c their automated calling system is the most irritating and annoying thing on the PLANET. it really is frustrating. it is my opinion that they make it that way on purpose so that we'll just hang up and they can sell you the lenses whether the Rx is any good or not.
but yes, its legit.
Of course! They are absolutely the same. My optometrist even encouraged me on my last visit to get my prescription filled through 1-800-contacts instead of him last time. It is almost half the price. I have used it for years. There is no difference.
Most sites are legit.
And it is definately cheaper.
They typically have limited sizes though.
Look for:
exact brand
lens name
power
sphere
cylinder, if any
axis, if any
diameter
base curve
peripheral curves, if any
If you find an exact match, GO FOR IT!
But if you don't, keep shopping at other sites until you find it (or stick with your doctor).
Don't settle on a contact that's pretty close to your own Rx
You may pay less, but if they don't fit correctly, you sacrifice comfort and vision quality. (Believe me! I know!)
Hope this helps
Good luck!
