Whats the best way to preventing tearing in soft contacts??

Question: I wear contacts so the other day i noticed i had a tear in my left contact which is my good eye. Last month somtime I tore my right contact (my bad eye) but I know how i did that...I had gotten my nails done for the military ball. So whats the best way to keep them from tearing when I do and don't have my nails done?
Answers: it's really important to keep your soft contacts clean of any sort of debris, no matter how harmless it might seem. soft contacts tear easily, so your nails might have torn your contact. i've even torn my contacts by wearing makeup and trying to clean them off, or having flakes of mascara fall into my eye. just be really careful with them. make sure you buy contact safe make up, keep them clean, and as long as you're using them for the recommended amount of time only, you shouldn't run into too many problems. sometimes they just tear, but it's kinda inevitable.
use your finger tips, not your nails...
I have been wearing them for forty years, before they even had soft contacts, and have always had longer than average nails. Learn to take them out with the sides of your fingers.
