HelP PleaSe!??
Question: HI! Im 18 yrs old. Lately Ive been having serious problems. 1:my period hasnt came since December 12(its never this late, and no Im not taking n-e birth control, Yes I have had unprotected sex, but I've takin 2 hpt and they were both negative) 2:Ive been having to urinate more frequently and when Im almost done unrinating I feel A sharp pain. Ive been thinkin maybe I got a urniary tract infection or even worse chlymidia....if I have either of these would that prevent my period from coming?? If not, what could it be thats keeping my period from coming??? My doctors appointment is not until Monday, so meanwhile I need some help/advice!!!
Answers: I am sorry dear, but it sounds like an ectopic pregnancy to me. Oh goodness, I hope it is not, but that is what it sounds like. YOu can have this type of pregnancy and EPT will say negative. Plus you have pains in your abdomen because the embryo is implanted in your tiny little fallopian tubes instead of your big uterus, so it will cause problems.
but I highly doubt this at your age, so it is more than likely just stress or PID, or maybe even a cyst on your ovary, or maybe it is just the urinary tract infection, because that is exactly what it sounds like also. can't really tell without doing a full assessment, sorry

1) Use a rubber, IUD, Birth Contrl pills or some other type of protection. Being 18 years of age, surely you are fully aware of the risks with unprotected sex? Why you are doing it willingly with AIDS/HIV out there is beyond me. However, you are now considered an adult and that's your choice. 2) If you would use some sort of protection, you wouldn't be here asking these questions. Hope this helps.

if the pain gets really bad, go to the ER, that's all I can help you with. You might have an ovarian cist. My mom had one, and she had the same symptoms as you. Good luck

go to er and tell them you have an appointment with an doctor monday but your having sharp pains and you have not started. bring the last day of your cycle with you. since you are 18years old you can ask the doctor to not have parents or guadians with you, if you still live with them .
