Menstural cramping & extremely heavy flow??
Question: Every since I first started my period I've had extreme cramping and flow. So bad that I'm usually in bed for the first day or two. I've tried pamprin, Midol, and all those kind of pills and they do not work. Does any one have any suggestions of what I could do to help? Thanks
Answers: I get really horrible cramps too. I was talking to a friend of mine who is a nurse and she sugested taking 2 extra strength ibprofens and an asprin. Asprin is a blood thinner and can help if you have clotting and ibprfen is a pain reliever. I think the little cocktail works absolutely wonderful.
Put a heating pad on your tummy. That should ease the pain.
have you spoken with your doctor? You might have a case of endometriosis..
stop taking poisons. start eating better. something in your diet is aggravating your cramping. some girls have heavier flows than others, that is nothing to be concerned about. the cramping though, start eating more raw fruits and vegies and less cooked meat and dairy. cut out white sugars and flours. try this for AT LEAST three months.
I don't think you have much to worry about, but you could still ask your dr.
Menstral cramping is common in young girls and is usually intense the first few years. Cramping is necessary, it is caused by the muscles contracting and prohibits too much bleeding to occur. Heavy flow isn't uncommon either. Most woman experience both until they have had a child; but don't go out and get pregnant just to get around the cramps and the bleeding! I hope this calms your nerves, but if you are still concerned, talk to your mom and trusted female adult or your doctor....it is never to soon to be cautious!
I am 47 years old and have cramps the first day I begin my period. I can deal with the next three days, but I was told by my doctor to take Aleve. I also suffer from a very extremely heavy flow. I use Stayfree Advance Protection Pads. They work great!
A heading pad it'll work.
Yo need to see your Dr. they can help. Find out if the other wemon in your family have the same problem, let your Dr. know if they have. A D&C will sometimes help & its not that big of a deal. Ther are several things to try. Go see your Dr. as soon as you can
you may ctually have dysmenorrhea...it is very common and not as serious as endometriosis...
you can find a lot of info on the web abt it...
