My daughter is 13 yr. she wear bra 40dd is it normal or need operation. please any doctor help .??
Answers: I would consult a Dr. She may need a reduction.
Holy crap, she has big ones doesn't she. Well, if she starts having back pains, I would get a reduction, especially if they grow any bigger.
Sounds extremely large, plus she may continue growing.
This can be a real burden on her back.
I would consult with a doctor as to the proper age for breast reduction surgery.
That sounds quite a bit large for a 13 year old. She might need to go in for breast reduction surgery. Usually in such a case insurance will pay for the surgery. Though she may have to wait a few years because a woman's breasts can continue to grow until she is 20. Talk to your doctore about what step to take next.
I went to school with a girl who had to have them reduced bc it gave her back trouble. The best thing to do is take her to her physician since he is the only person who knows her medical history. He would be the best person to advise you what or if anything needs to be done. Sometimes DD's have to do with weight. I know people that size and it is bc they are really over weight and are having problems losing it. I think since u brought it up that she must not be over weight. It is best to talk to her doctor bc he is who knows her history best.
yeah that seems excessive. but if she's 40 around she might could stand to lose some weight which would reduce the breast size. i would definitely try that before surgery. does she have any back problems or sleep problems ?
I would take her to the doctor and have her checked. Not only may it cause severe back pain, but she may get teased a lot at school, which would be bad for her self-esteem. My best friend in middle school and large breast, and she was teased horribly and had guys always trying to grab at them.
That is normal. Some people have them some don't.
The only reason she would need surgery is if you both wanted breast augmentation or not.
Try a weight loss program first, good diet and lots of exercise. But I would still talk to her doctor.
Well, as someone twice her age with a slightly larger bra size, there are a number of things to consider.
First of all, one thing that people so far have failed to bring up is that some girls develop them quickly and then they stay relatively that same size for the rest of their lives... You haven't said whether she gradually matured or not, but if this was relatively quick and then growth has tapered off, she probably won't get much bigger. However, if this is gradual growth, it will. I was a C cup when I was that age, but I matured gradually.
A few tips that might help... Keep her in good bras. Cotton ones tend to stretch out and offer less support as time goes on. Also, they reccomend replacing them every six months.. I don't do this, but make sure that the ratty/crappy ones get tossed regularly, at least.. At 13, she probably needs all the help with body image she can get, so sagging boobs aren't what she needs.
Like everyone else said, loosing weight might be a good idea... DONT tell her to diet, as they never work and weight will fluxuate and make it worse. Do gradual changes and make it more of a lifestyle change... take walks together daily, substitute fatty foods for leaner cuts of meat and cut out things like margarine (note, a couple companies make wonderful margarine-tasting products.. they come in spray bottles and have no calories!, which can cut out a lot of unneeded fat and other stuff and still give you the same taste.)
Also, teach her good posture. For starters, the better the posture, the better her back will feel.. Remember, she has quite a bit of weight on the front of her.. Just sitting straighter will help that alot.
If she doesn't have horrible backpain or can't stand straight or whatever, I wouldn't worry about surgery, I'd just make sure she has good health. But if she has problems with bad pain or they grow quite a bit larger, then definately talk to a doctor about a reduction - although, I'd wait until just before high school to make sure she's totally through the onset of puberty.
How much does your daughter weigh? If she is 13 5'2 and weighs 300 pounds then yes it is normal for her to have 40DD breasts and she needs to lose weight before getting a breast reduction surgery.
However if she is within a healthy weight range for her age and height then it's not normal and she will probably need breast reduction surgery.
Yea i was a 38dd at that age-- if she starts having problems you made need to get her a breast reduction. Wait till she is bout 15 1/2 to 16. That will be the age she should stop growing / good luck! I am a 40dd now with three kids and wish I would have had the operation back then!
I would take her to the Doctor and see. I'm 36 and wear that size
WOW...Seek a doctor right away. She could develop back problems.
you are going to need help keeping guys away from her! i feel for you, i really do.
time to see a doctor!
